72 Hour Hop on Hop off City Sightseeing Bus Tour of Copenhagen Classic Route

Explore / Copenhagen / Bus Tours

Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. You just know that if a city’s had a song written about it then it’s got to be something special and Copenhagen is indeed special. With our 72-hour Classic Route ticket, you’ll be able to see and discover so many of the reasons that’s true.

One of the beauties of hop-on hop-off buses is you can see something great and decide you want to take a closer look. We’re willing to wager that’ll be the case, when you pass Rosenborg Castle, a spectacular Renaissance building that was originally built as a summer house for King Christian IV. Some summer house, eh? Though as he had 14 kids that survived childhood, maybe he needed the space.

After you’ve seen a castle, it makes sense to visit a palace. And Amalienborg won’t disappoint. It’s actually four palaces with identical facades and has been home to the Danish Royal Family since their previous home burnt down at the end of the eighteenth century.

There’s much more to Copenhagen than royal buildings, though plenty of the non-royal ones look fairly royal. A great example of the city’s majestic architecture is Strøget, one of the world’s oldest and longest pedestrianised streets and the place to shop when in Copenhagen. If the Little Mermaid ever decides to buy herself a frock or a winter coat, we’re sure this is where she'll head.
